Freight Pricing Specialist

About the role

Zeal is seeking an analytical Freight Pricing Specialist to prepare accurate, competitive transportation quotes. This role evaluates shipment requirements, carrier costs, and market conditions to support sales and profitability.

Work arrangement: Remote or hybrid Location: Any city for remote work; office location to be confirmed for hybrid Employment type: Full-time and contract opportunities available

What you will do

• Prepare spot quotes, recurring lane pricing, and bid responses.
• Review shipment details, equipment needs, and delivery requirements.
• Research market rates and obtain carrier pricing.
• Calculate margins, fuel charges, and accessorial costs.
• Maintain pricing records and rate agreements.
• Work with sales and operations to improve quote accuracy and turnaround times.

Requirements

• Experience in freight pricing, transportation procurement, or logistics operations.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with rate tools and transportation management systems preferred.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive quote requests.
• English proficiency required; French and/or Spanish is a strong advantage.
